Lead generation can be utilized by searching key terms that generate discussions about that topic. Companies can use Twitter as a recruiting tool, “54percent of companies are using Twitter to hire and 74percent of hires come from social networks.” Twitter is also a useful market research tool is determining consumer feels and attitudes towards your company. Have an upcoming event? Twitter is a great way to market your upcoming events. Responding to consumer feedback is extremely important to retaining customers and Twitter is a great tool for this. The article also discussed using Twitter as a way to maintain media relations.
I found this article to be an interesting take on using Twitter. In recent months many articles that I have read discussed the decline of Twitter as a social media platform. I think this article makes valid points for different uses of Twitter but have these been proven effective? I would be interesting to see data and rationale that supports the authors stance.
